The space

The unique layout allows guests to enjoy quality time together in the spacious, fully stocked kitchen or to relax in the expansive living room.

The newly renovated pool is a central feature on the property’s main level, with private rooms on each side and ample communal patio space in between.

The Disclaimers – Wildlife & Tropical Weather

One of the magical things about this property is the lush tropical gardens surrounding it. While we strive to make our guests comfortable during their stay, we don’t over spray for bugs or use harsh chemicals that can harm the wildlife. Especially our friendly neighborhood Iguana, Freddy. He’s a big harmless boy and you might hear him scurrying around on the roof with some of his pals from time to time.

Keeping food put away and trash tightly sealed will help keep the ants and other tropical bugs away, but they are a part of life here in the Tropics.

If seeing Freddy, his smaller gecko cousins, or some ants and bugs would make you uncomfortable, this might not be the ideal place for you.

Inclement Weather & Power Disclaimer:

El Salvador is a Tropical destination regularly affected by inclement weather. During severe storms, it is possible for the country to experience power outages, flooding, and interruption to Wifi connections. These disruptions are usually resolved within minutes and rarely continue for longer than a couple of hours.

If you decide to book this property, you are acknowledging that minor inconveniences related to Tropical Storms will not be grounds for canceling your booking.

We recommend purchasing the Airbnb trip protection insurance to ensure your eligibility for a full refund in the event that you are unable to travel due to severe weather.

Guest access

Tortuga Oceanview is exclusively rented to one group at a time, ensuring complete privacy and access to the entire property without shared spaces.

Other things to note

Our home is equipped with an eco-conscious septic system that naturally filters wastewater without harsh chemicals. To keep it running smoothly, please do not flush toilet paper—even though the pipes can handle small amounts, the system works best when none is flushed. Instead, discard used paper in the lidded bins provided in each bathroom (and feel free to use the extra trash bags we’ve supplied).

If you’d like extra peace of mind, you can also schedule a midstay cleaning: our housekeeper will empty the bathroom bins, refresh supplies, and give the system a quick check.
