2- Upstairs Suite: 4 beds in 2 bedrooms and an en-suite bathroom, twin sinks, and a large walk-in shower:
bedroom #3 has a King bed.
bedroom #4 has a Full bed and 2 Twin-sized (single) beds.
Sleeping Capacity of Upstairs Bedroom Suite = 6 people in 4 beds.

3- Back-Suite (2 rooms, 3 beds). Available for $200. There is an additional bedroom and converted garage-bedroom attached to the main house at the back of the house.
Back-suite (bedroom #5 )= 3 people. (1 Full bed (double), 1 Twin Bed (single)).
Back-suite (bedroom #6)= 2 people. (1 King bed).

Living Room Beds :
2 daybeds beds in living rooms: one twin bed is in a front living room, and one twin bed is in the back of the house.
Extra cost per bed: $50 for the stay.

Hence,
TOTAL SLEEPING CAPACITY OF MAIN HOUSE PLUS THE 2-ROOM BACK SUITE (+$200) = 12 + 5 = 17 PEOPLE. (Extra cost $300).

Kitchen. The kitchen has a South Bend commercial gas range with six-burners, dual ovens, a 24″ x 24″ griddle, a broiler, and a double-fan vent hood. There is a 4’ x 6’ x 2’ chopping block prep-table, double sink, disposal, dishwasher, new fridge, walk-in pantry, two dozen lineal feet of counter or prep space, and all essential kitchen-hardware, utensils, and tools. Dozens of pieces of flatware, glassware, and cutlery make the kitchen good-to-go for almost anything your group wants to cook. The Mahogany wood dining table and benches seat 8 comfortably, or 10 more closely together.

Living Spaces. The combined kitchen/dining room space –itself 500-SF– flows into a spacious, 400-SF sunken living room. The kitchen and living room combo are connected by a 20-foot wood-topped cabinet bank. Architectural beams, skylights, panels of windows, and hundreds of square feet of stone and hardwood floors trim out this central gathering place, which altogether totals over 1,000-SF of living space. This communal living space looks out onto a walled, private patio, finished with black slate, Levant tiles, and a fountain, accessed through glass French Doors.
At the front of the house, you have two additional living rooms, separated by a 140-SF Travertine stone mosaic entryway. Glass-pane French front doors open to the private yard, where you step down into a 65’ x 25’-foot enclosed, private, and manicured garden. The tranquil space is shaded by a golden-bamboo grove towering 30’ above. Chinese-cedar Adirondack chairs, a BBQ, and hammock surround a wood-burning fire pit within the bamboo grove.

Parking, Walking, Biking, Driving-

Parking. Playa del Rey has no parking restrictions and light traffic. It is a quiet, suburban, beachside, hilltop neighborhood. Parking for multiple cars is always available, if not directly in front of the house, then within one-half block, maximum.

Walking. You can walk southwest to Dockweiler beach in 8 minutes.
Walk 8 minutes northwest from the house and you’re in the lay-back Playa del Rey beach town where you’ll find 14 bars or restaurants (Batari, Playa Provisions, Harbor Room, Prince of Wales, Senor G’s, Mo’s, Tanners Coffee, etc.).
Walk north another two minutes from the PDR town center and you’ll hit “Playa Lagoon” a tidal estuary full of geese, ducks, migratory waterfowl, a large children’s playground, a park, BBQ’s, basketball courts, swings, even a little league diamond.
Walk west two minutes across from the Lagoon and park to “Toes Over Beach,” the bike path, and views of the Marina breakwater.
Walk another 5 minutes to the north end of the PDR Lagoon and park, and you’ll hit Ballona Creek Bridge, the main channel of Marina del Rey, and the west terminus of the Ballona Creek Bike Path, a causeway that runs along the Marina channel. Here is a great place to see, close up, all manner of boats and watercraft coming and going from LA’s largest yacht harbor, or to walk along the rocks of the ocean breakwater.
You can walk to Loyola Marymount University and Otis College of Art and Design in 30 minutes, or drive to them in five.
Walk three minutes east down the hill to a convenience store, 4 restaurants, and a gas station.

Biking. Playa del Rey is situated in the middle of the LA-renowned Strand Bike Path, a 2-lane bike path that extends 26 miles from Malibu in the north to Palos Verdes in the south. Biking is the best way to see Venice and LA beaches.
Playa del Rey is also the westerly endpoint of the Ballona Creek Bike Path, a 7-mile, 2-lane bike path that extends east to the Culver City light rail train station (to Downtown), through the Ballona Creek State Ecological Reserve, a protected Wetland space the size of NY’s Central Park. Yes, it’s that big. And that close. Bring a bike, rent a bike, or borrow a bike, since it is, indeed, the best way to see the LA and South Bay beaches. The bike path is just a 5-minute ride from the house.

Driving. Playa del Rey is uniquely situated within the City of LA. No other community provides such ease of access to LAX; the Westside (Marina del Rey, Playa Vista, LMU, UCLA, Venice, Culver City, Santa Monica, Century City, Westwood, Brentwood, Beverly Hills, The Getty Museum and Getty Center, Museum Row); Downtown (DTLA, BMO Stadium, The Crypto/Staples Center, The Music Center, USC, The Coliseum, CA Science Center, Natural History Museum ); Inglewood (Sofi Stadium, The Intuit Dome Stadium, The Kia Forum, YouTube Theater, Hollywood Park Casino); The South Bay (Manhattan, Hermosa, Redondo, El Segundo, Torrance, PV); LA Harbor and Long Beach.
All of these destinations are a 25-minute drive without traffic–or less.

Southbound. If you drive south three minutes from the house onto The Pacific Coast Hwy, you get sweeping views of the Santa Monica Bay, Malibu, and Catalina Island while you roll 50 MPH (most all the way) to South Bay towns.
Eastbound. Taking adjacent Pershing Dr. then Imperial Hwy, and the 105 FWY East, you can get to DTLA (Crypto/Staples Center, The Music Center, The Coliseum, CA Science Center, USC) in 25 minutes.
Northbound. Again, without traffic, you can get to Santa Monica, Venice, West LA, Westwood, Century City, UCLA, The Getty, and Beverly Hills in 25 minutes or less on the 405 FWY. Since this freeway is subject to rush hour traffic, commute times vary.

Surrounding Cities And Towns –
While most LA visitors venture to Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, and Beverly Hills, please do consider checking out Playa del Rey or LA’s newest city: Playa Vista, which like LMU is 5-7 minutes away. Also, Manhattan Beach just 6 miles south and without the traffic, is closer than Santa Monica and has dozens of top-end restaurants, bars, (Fishing With Dynamite, MB Post, J-Arthur’s, Salt & Straw Ice Cream, The Strand House, Tin Roof Bistro, tons of bars, pubs, wine bars), its own picturesque pier and aquarium, even a massive sand dune and abutting stairs to do sand or stair work outs on.

Closer still, the town of El Segundo is the Mayberry of LA and family-oriented, even winning the U-12 Little League World Series in 2023. Here you’ll find parks, top surf spot El Porto Beach, LAX plane spotters, an ice-skating ring (yes, the Kings practice here), Top Golf, a 9-hole golf course, lap swimming pools, tennis courts, parks, beaches, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, in-line hockey rinks, all residing alongside Chevron, Mattel, and aerospace giants.

Nearby Inglewood lies just 15 minutes east. The new SoFi Stadium, the newer Intuit Dome, YouTube Theater, the Kia Forum, and Hollywood Park Casino, are all there within a half mile of each other, and so close to here. These venues host most of LA’s biggest sports and entertainment events. All of these venues are close and accessible from the house.
